Rep. Brian Baird to call for cutting US aid to Israel unless the blockade on Gaza is lifted



Al Jazeera's Todd Baer caught up with two US Democratic congressmen whose efforts to lift the Israeli blockade on Gaza are being met with stiff resistance.

    To put things into context, this congressman is not running for next elections..
    Second, I saw that Haaretz piece yesterday and as usual I was literally STUNNED by the chutzpah of those people that can be summed up by "black is white and day is night" belief..So despicable,hateful and pathological that sometimes I try to avoid posting or even reading about them..I already hate them beyond what I expect myself to accept as it does nothing but amplify and reinforce such  feelings..

    Baird represents the district where Rachel Corrie's family lives. It is a shame that so few congressmen speak out while they're in office but Baird has been one of the good ones, like Kucinich and Sanders. These reps are protected by the fact that they are overwhelmingly popular among their own constituents and don't fear an assault from the AIPAC thugs.
