"There are various forms of having democracy and plurality in the Land of Canaan. My book on Sharing the Land of Canaan basically summarizes the mythologies used to prevent this logical solution and articulates a vision shared by millions around the world. Indeed it is the only viable and durable solution to the conundrums of the Middle East.
All solutions that are durable would have to be based on basic human rights and equality. In fact these principles are articulated admirably in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Exhibit 1). This would obviously include the right of refugees to return to their homes and lands and abolishing any discriminatory and racist laws (such as the so called "Jewish Law of Return" guranteeing any Jew including converts automatic citizenship whilE denying it to natives who happen to be Christian or Muslim). The Constitution of the ANC in South Africa provides a good model."

He's got the right idea...except for the name. It's the whole association with the Bible that has caused so much trouble for Palestine. Personally, I think people should be more interested in 2009 A.D. than 2009 B.C, and in that way harkening back to the days of human sacrifice and genocidal wars of ancient Canaan is just going in the wrong direction. I think naming the new state something neutral and bland like the European Union did is more of the way to go; the Mideast Union or something like that.
