Japan ready to withdraw support for Afghanistan war
Japan’s new Defence Minister is a strong opponent of the country’s military support for the US, making it more likely than ever that the Government of Yukio Hatoyama will withdraw its naval ships from the war in Afghanistan early next year.
It sounds like a much more responsible administration is coming into power in Japan. This follows the thought lines of Immanuel Wallerstein about the self-interest principle of every nation for itself. The "poles" are indeed changing.
Japan should agree to give Afghanistan $40 billion in economic grants over the next 20 years. This would free up US grant money to fund the ANA and ANP. I hope Obama succeeds. Yukio Hatoyama publicly ran as a large fan of Obama.
Yukio Hatoyama is facing Japan's deapest recession since WWII. His first political priority will be improving the Japanese and global economy.
It is about time. Have they forgotten Hiroshima and Nagasaki! What the states is doing right now is absolutely wrong. The American ruling body is not a government, but an administration working for the Zionist elite represented by the Zionist state of Israel who wages wars by proxy.
