Dexia Bank decides to stop financing Israeli settlements
The Belgian-French financial group, Dexia, has declared that it is stopping all financial support to Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, through its Israel Branch.
(Via the Palestinian Pundit)
"The Bank administration stated that it found out that financing Israeli settlements in the occupied territories violates its own code of ethics, and decided to stop giving loans to Israel."
ReplyDeleteok...all news like this is good news, even if the reasoning is strained (banks having ethics).
It is an amazing expierence sometimes to read Gideon Levy's writing, it is as if he wants us to believe that Israel and the US are just immensely stupid in their actions against the Palestinians. In fact, the stupidity accoring to him just keeps piling up.
ReplyDeleteAs if the Zionists are trying to do something to bring about an end to the current situation, but they are too stupid to do so - and they just continue the current blockade. He calls it a failed "experiement on human beings." On the contrary there is nothing stupid about it, it is merely stalling and in the process trying to completely destroy the Palestinian people. So there is nothing stupid about it, there is no intent to finally come to a peaceful solution - THAT is the point. Also, they are enjoying the suffering they are inflicting in the planned process. Do you understand now Mr. Levy?

Thanks v for this one. I'll post it later.
ReplyDeleteThere's another article of interest:
Housing Minister: Spread of Arab population must be stopped
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1097411.html
"<span>Housing Minister Ariel Atias on Thursday warned against the spread of Arab population into various parts of Israel, saying that preventing this phenomenon was no less than a national responsibility.
"I see [it] as a national duty to prevent the spread of a population that, to say the least, does not love the state of Israel," Atias told a conference of the Israel Bar Association, which focused on a reforming Israel's Land Administration"</span>
<span>"Atias went on to address the issue of the Galilee, saying that "if we go on like we have until now, we will lose the Galilee. Populations that should not mix are spreading there. I don't think that it is appropriate [for them] to live together."</span>
ReplyDeleteYou're right dude! "Blacks" shouldn't infest "white" areas! Just follow South Africa's Apartheid model! It's a bullet proof guarantee for a successful future!
So is it me TGIA, or are there more extremist idiots in all of the ministries than previously?
ReplyDelete<span>"...because of the limited appropriation of land in recent years in the Lands Administration and the Housing Ministry..."</span>
We have not stolen enough land
