It is quite amazing, we heard almost none of this previous to the Zionist plague, and there was good reason - because there was no "natural' antisemitism (or virtually none) in this region. The 1922 League of Nations mandate did not grant the whole of mandate Palestine to the Jewish people. It incorporated the Balfour Declaration that "His Majesty's Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people ... it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine".
In any case, the League of Nations was succeeded by the UN, whose Resolution 181 most specifically did not cede what is now the West Bank to Israel, but identified it as the proposed Arab state. It was subsequently agreed between Israel and Jordan that this area would be incorporated into the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan, an agreement which neither party had a right to make.
What is needed today is not a rehashing of old, dubious, neo-colonial disputes but a recognition that the human rights of the Palestinians are consistently being abused by Israel, and the need for Justice for all the inhabitants of the Holy Land, Jews and Arabs alike, plus recognition by Israel of international law and the democratic right of Palestinians to elect their own government.

The muslim country that in my opinion treats nonmuslims the best might be Malaysia. Indonesia and Turkey also treat nonmuslims well. As do Indian muslims. Some of the Gulf trading towns such as Dubai also do a good job.
Unfortunately, Jews are treated like people who are not of the book even though they are of the book. Sometimes Jews are even treated worse than people who are not of the book. Christians are treated significantly better than Jews and those who are not of the book.

Regardless of whether Julius is on your approved list or not is immaterial to me. The fact remains that these poor people, who have no power at all to protect themselves, feel they must leave their beloved land. Why?

ReplyDeleteFirst of all I don't consider AlQaeda as Islamists...I consider them as enemies of Islam, not to mention civilization...And it seems to me they serve the interests of this so-called war on Terror the West is waging, not Muslim interests...And just in case you haven't noticed, they have been killing and driving different groups of people who they don't agree with out from their homes and lands not only in Yemen, but in Iraq, Afghnistan, Pakistan.... I rightfully hold AlQaeda and the so-called moderate by the West Arab dictatorial leaders accountable for what has been happening to these Jews in Yemen and to so many other minorities, including many Muslims in Yemen and elsewhere....
